Demo Reel / Portfolio

Here is a handful of the designs I have made. Some of these designs are client work done on commission, others were made out of leisure.

Motion Graphics
Demo Reel

In this Demo Reel you will find pre-roll intros, lower thirds, wipes, and multiple cases of problemsolving.

The problem-solving needed for these designs are circumstantial. Is the footage I am using legal to use both commercially and privately? What fonts should I use? Is the font or motion logical for the client's needs? What music should I use? Do I even have permission to use the song commercially? Is the content being used and monetized?

These are questions I had to constantly ask myself when creating each design.

Personal Intro v13

So I've been using the same intro on my personal channel for about 2 years now.

I've been planning on uploading more content soon and liverstreaming but I couldn't do that without a fresh new look. This design took about an hour and 40 minutes to complete. The idea for it didn't come to fruition until about a week before I actually started animating the graphic.

I'm very proud of this design and this will change over time as I become more and more competant with motion design.

There's always something new to learn.

Teen Cuisine Intro

This was an intro for a segment called Teen Cuisine; which is a part of the high school TV show called Aftershock which can be found here.

This design involved a bit of problem solving. The segment (at the time the intro was being made) did not have a set "look" or "feel." Being this segement involved various forms of cooking, I included royalty-free footage of baking, sandwitch making, anything I could find that would fit something a high schooler could do. I also searched for music that would give the segment a fun, upbeat, and hip kind of feel to it.

DreamCloud S2 Intro

This intro was for a series of gameplay videos in Minecraft that only allowed limited lives per player.

The design is very minimalistic yet effective; as it needed to show only it's name, and the sponsors of the series. I decided to use footage taken from the game server to show a bit of what the viewers might see in the series.

Skryptic v3 Intro

This intro was for a friend (Skryptic) who made gaming videos on YouTube. Sometimes we would record a few together and it was a fun experience.

I decided to translate that fun into a design. The color scheme of the whole design showed a bit of a fun, playful, and bubble-gum type of look and feel (it was also his favorite color at the time). The song, popping circles, and the reveal of the name (I feel) gave more of a playful emphasis on the name.

Weekend Hotspot Intro

This was an intro for a segment called Weekend Hotspot; which is a part of the high school TV show called Aftershock which can be found here.

This design was a bit different and new to what I usually do. I started experimenting with liquid-like movement and drawing on letters and such. Being that this segment was about the weekends, and fun things high schoolers could do; I decided to use royalty-free footage of a concert, the sunset, and the beach. The song and the letters allowed for a more amped up experience as the intro continued.
